Our Founder

Cle Wilkerson (Unc Cle) founder of MusiCle Mentoring, is a Mentor and Youth Coach that focuses and serves at-risk youth. Unc Cle helps youth develop new coping mechanisms and techniques to encourage behavior modifications. He finds the use of music as a great source of self- expression and adaptive strategy to reduce stress. Unc likes to use the phrase "let it out through music", to provide a non judgemental safe space for youth to speak freely.

Unc Cle uses his years of life experiences, coupled with his Elizabeth City State University education and work experience to create and build trusting relationships with the at-risk youth. Unc has over 20 years working in the mental health field as a QP, Peer Counselor and a Program Coordinator with an alternative to suspension program. His experience has helped propel him to a unique group that can capture and retain the attention of those sometimes considered hard to reach youth.

Unc uses relatable life experience as a navigation tool for positive redirection. He encourages music as an outlet as it helped throughout his life. Unc has a youthful personality, which at times includes playing sporting activities with his target group. He holds standfast to his belief that the misguided and misunderstood need help expressing themselves.

When not mentoring Unc enjoys writing lyrics and spending time with his family.
